About Me

"Life is a work-in-progress and I am always learning”

I am a wife, a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, co-worker etc... Yep, that describes who I am on the outside, but on the inside I feel all alone on this motherhood journey. In reality there are a lot of women out there that feel like me, like they are all alone, that the trials, tribulations, and juggling of motherhood is just unique to them, but in reality every mother goes through similar events.

What has lead to the creation of this blog is the thought of sharing my story in order to help or ease another readers anxiety of thinking “they are the only one”.

What makes me qualified to talk about mothering, not a degree, just the motherhood experience I have had this far.

I am a mother of five children and a wife to a wonderful husband. My life is 99% hectic and 1% calm. My two oldest children are 20 and 18 (going on 40). I will refer to the 20 yr. old boy as “Gamer”, and the 18 year old girl as “Pita”. These two children are from my first marriage that ended in divorce 17 years ago. So for a while I was a single parent, taking on the role of father, mother and sole supporter, due to my ex-husband lack of support and involvement in their lives (currently he is better at both).

Four years after my divorce, I met my current husband, “Sergeant” or “Sgt.” for short. He was in the United States Army. We have three children together. “ESPN” (boy)who is 13, “BamaBoy” 11, and “Girlygirl”  9. His occupation took us to several states throughout the U.S. and overseas to Europe.  Sgt. also had a tour in Iraq, being away from us for over a year. In which we purchased a home in my hometown, located in Western New York, moved in, settled down and was then a geographical single parent once again.  He made it home from Iraq, served another year and was then honorably discharged. We have been married for 13 years.

That is simple story of my life, the complicated part will come later on my blog pages, I welcome you to this site, I hope to share my experience to help others and also learn from others experiences, sign up to my blog, place a comment on the comment page, or email me at ebh32067@moms2sense.com .

I am a first time blogger and still learning all the tricks, so bear with me while I travel this journey with you all.

Still learning,

Beth
